Natural Horsemanship

Iso Vernon is our natural horsemenship instructor.  He works with riders on lesson horses to help riders learn communication with the horse.  Once the rider has mastered balance, the rider focuses on controlling the horse in a variety of situations, in the arena and outside on the trail.  Emphasis is placed on understanding what the horse is telling the rider throughout the ride through its movements and its behavior. The goal is to achieve maximum response from the horse with the minimum of instruction from the rider.

Iso's lessons help build rider's confidence.  Riders will ride a variety of horses, sometimes bareback, sometimes with English tack or western tack, learn an emergency stop, an emergency dismount, and various skills to improve the riders skill with horses.
